First off, there are some server issues so the site is going to be slow.
We’re still developing the place but you can start playing around.
Read the about page. As you can see, we’ve expanded our focus. Yes we still do Islam, but obviously not just that anymore.
The front-page will not have whole posts. Usually it’ll just have an excerpt from the post. To read the whole thing with comments you can hit “Full Article” or to do a sexy little Pop up of the article without comments you can do “Quickview.”
Leave a comment and check out the ajax functionality. There will be an editor in the comments section which will make styling easier. To comment on the left side of the blog you don’t have to register.
The site doesn’t have diaries anymore. We upgraded. Check out the integrated forum on the right side. You can read what’s happening in the forum without registering, but to post and participate in the forums you have to register. I recommend registering right now (link is on the header, right side) as there will be other tools that only registered users can access. Feel free to start posting. Post everything under General Discussion; the other categories were just tests.
The forum section is still under development. I am expecting to have a link-sharing capability put in at a later time. As the header shows, we’re still in beta and will remain so for a little while.
At the bottom of a post definitely hit “share this.” Check out all the things you can do to a post.
Play around, do whatever, tell us what’s broken in the comments. Definitely book mark the place and share with your friends.

C’mon! I FINALLY have something to say and you decide to clean out and have a garage sale!!?:) How long is this going to take? (foot tapping…tap..tap..tap.) Well…ok..I must say you are worth waiting for but I must warn you that my brain is tormented daily by young children and I don’t know how long it can retain this information! Hey…maybe I can leave a really long “comment”? Hmmmm…sneaky.
My thoughts on the new banner:
1) ‘eteraz.org’ should be in a different font or a different typeface or spaced further from ‘Plural Politics’. It doesn’t look prominent enough.
2) ‘[beta]’ should be moved to the top right or bottom right corner (and the font size should be reduced). The body of text looks a little cramped with ‘Plural Politics’, ‘eteraz.org’, and ‘[beta]’ squeezed together so close.
3) The color scheme looks nice.
