Help us raise $30,000 to purchase 1000 copies of the Muhammad Asad Translation and Commentary of The Quran. This is an alternative translation of the Quran that will be provided to Western mosques, libraries, Muslim chaplaincies, and student associations. This work resolves many of the errors and oversights of other English translations, one example being women's rights.

Is this for real? Hajj in the shade!? The Prophet's house a parking lot. No bida' here. This is Saudi Arabia, folks. Puritan.

Is there any credible source other than another blog that supports this picture's claim?

PS - This is my first time on this blog or whatever it is, and I find it very hard to comment.  You should make it so that anyone can comment, instead of registering to leave a comment.

I am hoping the collective intelligence of muslimeen reveals the source.

This is not a blog. It is an interactive web portal and community. We prefer people who stay and share ideas. They can do so in the reader diaries on the right which are like mini blogs.

By the way, you need to put some more Lupe Fiasco songs up.

Maybe this is the Saudi response to global warming: pitch a tent.

I saw this photo also from someone a couple days ago. I don't know what it signifies. Ease. Peace. Relaxation. Shade. Security. Serenity. Calmness. Material change. I dunno. It's just weird seeing this photo.
