If you are a photographer and you can contribute to the Photography & Poverty Project, email me your stuff. Everything does not have to relate to poverty. Reflective, thoughtful stuff of any kind is welcome. Although I will try and keep focus on poverty and social justice. I have to say, I used to think that Westerners taking pictures of other parts of the world and then passing them around one another was a fairly jerk thing to do. I'm not sure I am entirely convinced otherwise. This is just to say that I am going into this with a bit of reluctance and with a lot of faith in the photographers' intentions. So far, given the kind of work I've seen, I am very heartened. Eventually we will create a separate part of the site where everything will be collected. The tag I will use will be "ppp." Bloggers: the permanent link to the project is available here which you can put in your sidebar: http://eteraz.org/tag/ppp (1 comment) Comments >> | Recent DiariesFriday Prayer Review: February 16, 2007by OmarG - February 17 American-Desi Academic Becomes Next King of Saudi Arabia.... by Humza Goldstein Bey - February 17 2 comments Help, please! by AnonyMouse - February 17 4 comments A Muslim Hangout by Humza Goldstein Bey - February 17 6 comments I Want To Get In Line To Receive Free Quran by Ali Eteraz - February 17 7 comments The "Death" of Progressive Islam by jinnzaman - February 17 5 comments Michigan Muslims Counter Claims of Sectarian Conflict by Hakim - February 16 2 comments An American Branch of Al-Azhar University by Humza Goldstein Bey - February 16 3 comments A Muslim Village Like No Other by Humza Goldstein Bey - February 16 5 comments First forced marriages, now forced divorces by Baraka - February 16 1 comment More Diaries...
